In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Ballard Bruins soccer squad scored a close 5-3 triumph over the Elizabethtown Panthers.
The Bruins (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Christian Academy-Louisville (Louisville, KY). The Centurions come into the District 28 battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Christian Academy-Louisville nudged Christian Academy (New Albany, IN), 5-1, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against North Hardin (Radcliff, KY). The Trojans come into the District 17 battle with a 4-1 record.
