Texas High School Volleyball - Schulenburg over Gonzales

The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX) and the visiting Gonzales Apaches (Gonzales, TX), saw Schulenburg's volleyball squad beat Gonzales by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Schulenburg upgrades its record to 7-7 on the year. The Shorthorns host Brazos (Wallis, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 18. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Brazos won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Ganado (Ganado, TX)

The Apaches now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Rice Consolidated for a non-league bout on Friday, August 19. Gonzales will play a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Columbus (Columbus, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 1-10.
