North Carolina High School Football - Alleghany topples Surry Central

August 18, 2023: Sparta, NC 28675

The Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) football defeated the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), 41-18 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 25. Alleghany will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record.

The Golden Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, East Wilkes defeated West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 28-21, in a non-league bout.
