The Briggs Bruins football squad scored 31 points and restricted the visiting Westland Cougars to 28 in the Bruins non-league victory on Friday.

The Bruins now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whetstone for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 24. Briggs will play a Braves squad coming off a 47-0 non-league loss to Bishop Watterson (Columbus, OH). The Braves record now stands at 0-1.
