North Carolina High School Football - Clayton victorious over Wake Forest

August 18, 2023: Clayton, NC 27520

In Friday's non-league match, the host Clayton Comets football squad scored a good 54-42 victory over the Wake Forest Cougars.

In their next game, the Comets clash with the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 25. Clayton will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Golden Hawks enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 9-7 non-league win over Garner (Garner, NC).

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their match against South Garner (Garner, NC). The Titans enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, South Garner thwarted Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC), 66-0, in a non-league match.
