New Mexico High School Football - Rio Rancho drops to La Cueva

August 18, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87122

In Friday's non-league game, the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) football team knocked off the visiting Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM), by a final score of 35-14.

The Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM). The Storm come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Cleveland toppled Centennial (Las Cruces, NM), 28-8, in a non-league game.

The Rams now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Eldorado for a non-league game on Friday, August 25. Rio Rancho will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 41-20 non-league win over Cibola (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
