Kentucky High School Football - Russell beat Mason County

The Russell Red Devils football squad scored 28 points and restricted the visiting Mason County Royals to 8 in the Red Devils non-league victory on Friday.

The Red Devils now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenup County for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 26. Russell will play a Musketeers squad coming off a 36-28 non-league loss to Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH). The Musketeers record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Royals play the Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 25. Mason County will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 21-14 non-league win over Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY).
