California High School Football - Santa Margarita gets by West

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) and the visiting West Panthers (Salt Lake City, UT), observed Santa Margarita's football squad edge West by a count of 28-27.

The Eagles now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Centennial for a non-league contest on Friday, August 25. Santa Margarita will play a Huskies squad coming off a 28-14 non-league loss to Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 0-1.
