The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Stanley County Buffalos (Fort Pierre, SD) and the host Sully Buttes Chargers (Onida, SD), observed Stanley County's football squad defeat Sully Buttes by a count of 42-20.
The Buffalos now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host DeSmet for a non-league contest on Friday, August 25. Stanley County will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 40-12 league win over Castlewood (Castlewood, SD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
Coming up next, the Chargers play the Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers (Gettysburg, SD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 25. Sully Buttes will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Battlers go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 68-30 non-league win over Newell (Newell, SD).
