The Ware Shoals Hornets football squad scored 38 points and limited the visiting Whitmire Wolverines to 28 in the Hornets non-league win on Friday.

The Hornets now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Ninety Six for a non-league battle on Friday, August 25. Ware Shoals will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 28-27 non-league win over Emerald (Greenwood, SC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Wolverines play the Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors (Spartanburg, SC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 25. Whitmire will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
