With the win, Daviess County upgrades its record to 1-2 on the year. The Panthers host Russell County (Russell Springs, KY) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Russell County won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Muhlenberg County (Greenville, KY)

The Blue Tornado now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Grayson County for a non-league bout on Friday, August 18. Paducah Tilghman will play a Cougars squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Apollo (Owensboro, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.
