In Friday's non-league battle, the host Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the North Shore Mustangs.
The Hurricanes (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lamar (Houston, TX). The Texans come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Lamar lost by Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the Paetow Panthers (Katy, TX) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 18. North Shore will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Panthers come into the battle with a 3-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Sterling (Baytown, TX).
