The Montwood Rams held off the host Veribest Falcons volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Rams now have a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Andrews for a non-league test on Saturday, August 19. Montwood will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lake View (San Angelo, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-2.

The Falcons (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Pecos (Pecos, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, Pecos held off Alpine (Alpine, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.
