Texas High School Volleyball - Mount Vernon over Redwater

The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) and the visiting Redwater Dragons (Redwater, TX), saw Mount Vernon's volleyball squad beat Redwater by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 2-7 on the year. The Tigers host Como-Pickton (Como, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Como-Pickton won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Christian Academy (Paris, TX)

The Dragons now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Jefferson for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. Redwater will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-5.
