Spring Creek Spartans (Spring Creek, NV) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV), 2-1 in a non-league game.
The Spartans now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yerington for a non-league game on Saturday, August 19. Spring Creek will meet a Lions team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lowry (Winnemucca, NV). The Lions record now stands at 3-0.
The Lakers (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Virginia City (Virginia City, NV). The Muckers enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Virginia City was nudged by Fernley (Fernley, NV), 2-0, in a non-league game.
