Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Chatham Charter Knights (Siler City, NC) and the visiting Phoenix Academy Firebirds (High Point, NC), observed Chatham Charter's volleyball team hold off Phoenix Academy by a count of 2-1.

The Knights (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Moore (Robbins, NC). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, North Moore was tipped by Western Harnett (Lillington, NC), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Firebirds encounter the Leadership Academy Falcons (Kernersville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, September 3. Phoenix Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
