The Southern Wayne Saints soccer squad scored 5 points and held the host South Johnston Trojans to 1 in the Saints non-league victory on Monday.
The Saints now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to North Lenoir for a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 20. Southern Wayne will play a Hawks squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 1-1.
The Trojans (0-1) will now prepare for their game against South Central (Winterville, NC). The Falcons enter the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
