In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Gray Stone Day Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars.
The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, South Davidson went down by Asheboro Hybrid Academy (Asheboro, NC), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest Hills for a Rocky River 4A/5A test on Tuesday, August 19. Central Academy of Technology & Arts will play a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-3.
