In Friday's non-league game, the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) football team smashed the visiting Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC), by a final score of 42-0.

The Trojans (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses come into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.

The Cougars now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Erwin for a non-league game on Friday, August 26. Mountain Heritage will battle a Warriors team coming off a 42-19 non-league loss to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
