The Model Blue Devils football team (Rome, GA), was beaten 20-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL)

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Piedmont (Piedmont, AL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

The Blue Devils now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pepperell for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 26. Model will meet a Dragons team coming off a 46-17 non-league loss to Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-1.
