The Crest Chargers topped the host Freedom Patriots football team by a final score of 40-22 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Crest improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Chargers host Burns (Lawndale, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, August 26. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Burns won 42-0 in their recent non-league outing against Forestview (Gastonia, NC)

With the loss, Freedom moves to 0-1 on the season. The Patriots host East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Friday, August 26. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 1-0. East Burke won 28-0 in their recent non-league outing against Patton (Morganton, NC)
