    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Gallatin Green Wave (Gallatin, TN) and the visiting Mount Juliet Golden Bears (Mt. Juliet, TN), observed Gallatin's football squad thwart Mount Juliet by a tally of 27-18.

    The Green Wave now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Blackman for a non-league contest on Friday, August 26. Gallatin will play a Blaze squad coming off a 19-18 non-league win over Brentwood (Brentwood, TN). The Blaze record now stands at 1-0.

    Coming up next, the Golden Bears play the Hunters Lane Warriors (Nashville, TN) in a 5A Region 5 contest, on Friday, September 2. Mount Juliet will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
