The Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig]/Flasher Storm football team (Elgin, ND), was beaten 46-34 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] Mustangs (Wishek, ND)

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mott-Regent/New England (Mott, ND). The come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Mott-Regent/New England was beaten by Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter (Napoleon, ND), 36-28, in a non-league challenge.

The Storm now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Salem for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 26. Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig]/Flasher will meet a Holsteins team coming off a 44-20 non-league win over Beach (Beach, ND). The Holsteins record now stands at 1-0.
