The Perquimans Pirates football team (Hertford, NC), was tipped 22-18 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC)

The Redskins (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, North Pitt was tipped by Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC), 14-8, in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Camden County for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 26. Perquimans will meet a Bruins team coming off a 16-14 non-league win over Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 1-0.
