The Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers football squad scored 54 points and restricted the host Newell Irrigators to 28 in the Battlers non-league victory on Friday.

The Battlers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sully Buttes for a Yellowstone Trail (9 Man) battle on Friday, August 26. Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] will face a Chargers squad coming off a 16-6 non-league win over Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Irrigators face the Faith Longhorns (Faith, SD) in a Little Moreau (9 Man) battle, on Friday, August 26. Newell will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Longhorns enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 14-13 league win over Dupree (Dupree, SD).
