The Northwest Vikings walloped the host Stewart County Rebels football team by a count of 36-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Vikings travel to West Creek (Clarksville, TN) to encounter the Coyote in a 6A Region 5 outing on Monday, August 29. The Coyote go into the outing with a record of 0-1. West Creek lost 30-16 in their recent non-league outing against Northeast (Clarksville, TN)

With the loss, Stewart County moves to 0-1 on the season. The Rebels host Gibson County (Dyer, TN) to encounter the Pioneers in a non-league outing on Friday, August 26. The Pioneers go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Gibson County lost 56-19 in their recent non-league outing against Obion County (Troy, TN)
