The Tharptown Wildcats football squad scored 28 points and restricted the visiting Shoals Christian Flame to 14 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Phillips for a non-league battle on Friday, August 26.

Coming up next, the Flame play the Phillips Bears (Bear Creek, AL) in a 1A Region 8 battle, on Friday, September 2. Shoals Christian will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
