The Sumter Central Jaguars thwarted the visiting Wilcox Central Jaguars football team by a count of 22-12 in Friday's non-league outing.
With the win, Sumter Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Jaguars host Hatch (Uniontown, AL) to encounter the Bobcats in a non-league outing on Friday, August 26. The Bobcats go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Hatch lost 24-18 in their recent non-league outing against Autaugaville (Autaugaville, AL)
With the loss, Wilcox Central moves to 0-1 on the season. The Jaguars travel to T.R. Miller (Brewton, AL) to face the Tigers in a 4A Region 1 bout on Friday, September 2. The Tigers enter the bout with a record of 1-0.
