The Mumford Mustangs volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Marlin Bulldogs to 0 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rosebud-Lott for a non-league game on Friday, August 19. Mumford will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Central Texas Christian (Temple, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 3-5.

The Bulldogs (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Bosqueville (Waco, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 9-3 record. In their last game, Bosqueville defeated Whitney (Whitney, TX), 3-1, in a non-league game.
