Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Baconton Charter Blazers (Baconton, GA), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Upson-Lee for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 21. Lamar County will battle a Knights squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Baconton Charter falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Blazers travel to Marion County (Buena Vista, GA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 19. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Marion County won 16-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Jordan (Columbus, GA)
