Georgia High School Softball - Gilmer thwarted by Union County

The Gilmer Bobcats softball squad (Ellijay, GA), was routed 15-4 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA)

The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Dragons go into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Pickens was routed by Woodstock (Woodstock, GA), 4-3, in a non-league battle.

The Bobcats now sport a 0-10 record. They play next when they host Dawson County for a 3A Region 7 battle on Tuesday, August 22. Gilmer will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to North Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-5.
