The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) and the visiting Harlem Bulldogs (Harlem, GA), saw Toombs County's softball squad nip Harlem by a count of 4-3.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Appling County for a 2A Region 3 match on Tuesday, August 22. Toombs County will face a Pirates squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Harlem falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Greenbrier (Evans, GA) to face the Wolfpack in a non-league match on Monday, August 21. The Wolfpack enter the match with a record of 3-2. Greenbrier lost 6-2 in their recent non-league match against Morgan County (Madison, GA)
