The West Laurens Raiders nipped the host Vidalia Indians softball squad by a final score of 8-7 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Raiders (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Appling County (Baxley, GA). The Pirates go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Appling County held off Brantley County (Nahunta, GA), 1-0, in a league battle.

The Indians now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bacon County for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 19. Vidalia will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 6-1.
