In Saturday's non-league contest, the Leland Comets (Leland, MI) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Bronson Vikings (Bronson, MI), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Comets face the Ludington Orioles (Ludington, MI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. Leland will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record.

With the loss, Bronson moves to 2-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to Concord (Concord, MI) to face the Yellowjackets in a Big 8 contest on Wednesday, September 6. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a record of 7-2. Concord won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Blissfield (Blissfield, MI)
