The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS) and the host Brookhaven Panthers (Brookhaven, MS), saw Sacred Heart's volleyball squad beat Brookhaven by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Sacred Heart upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Crusaders host East Marion (Columbia, MS) to play the Eagles in a Class 1 Region 8 bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-1.

The Panthers now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Terry for a non-league bout on Monday, August 21. Brookhaven will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Wingfield (Jackson, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
