The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) and the visiting Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX), saw Groveton's volleyball squad beat Goodrich by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Groveton upgrades its record to 6-6 on the year. The Indians host Trinity (Trinity, TX) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Trinity won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Crockett (Crockett, TX)

The Hornets now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Onalaska for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 24. Goodrich will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lovelady (Lovelady, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-7.
