In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Laredo LBJ Wolves volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Grulla Gators.

The Wolves (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Rattlers come into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Rio Grande City achieved victory over La Joya (La Joya, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Gators clash with the Hidalgo Pirates (Hidalgo, TX) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 25. Grulla will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Pirates come into the battle with a 0-7 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Lopez (Brownsville, TX).
