In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Jackson South Side Hawks volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Hickman County Bulldogs.

The Hawks (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Scotts Hill (Reagan, TN). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
