With the win, Knott County Central upgrades its record to 6-1 on the year. The Patriots host Jenkins (Jenkins, KY) to play the Cavaliers in a District 53 bout on Monday, August 21. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Jenkins lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Jackson City (Jackson, KY)

The Pirates now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Madison Central for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. Powell County will play a Indians squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Berea (Berea, KY). The Indians record now stands at 1-2.
