The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS) and the host Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS), saw Sacred Heart's volleyball squad beat Wayne County by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Sacred Heart upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Crusaders host East Marion (Columbia, MS) to play the Eagles in a Class 1 Region 8 bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-1.

The War Eagles now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Laurel for a Class 5 Region 5 bout on Monday, August 21. Wayne County will play a Golden Tornadoes squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 0-5.
