In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Wakefield Wolverines volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Corinth Holders Pirates.

The Wolverines (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sanderson (Raleigh, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record.

Next, the Pirates meet the West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 20. Corinth Holders will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC).
