The Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) volleyball knocked off the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), 3-1 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Chargers now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to West Carteret for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 20. Ayden - Grifton will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Perquimans drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 22. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Neuse Charter lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC)
