In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Shelbyville Dragons volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Hudson Hornets.

The Dragons (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Overton (Overton, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Overton was beaten by West Rusk (New London, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 23. Hudson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Mexia (Mexia, TX).
