Coronado Islanders (Coronado, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Islanders (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Santana (Santee, CA). The Sultans come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Santana beat Grossmont (El Cajon, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Pointers now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Granite Hills for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9.
