Next up, the Sandies confront the Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 21. Amarillo will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Bobcat come into the outing with a 11-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Keller Central (Keller, TX).

With the loss, Palo Duro drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Dons host Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a 5A Region I District 3 outing on Tuesday, August 26. The Pirates come into the outing with a record of 6-4.
