The Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX) volleyball knocked off the host Brazos Cougars (Wallis, TX), 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Navasota for a non-league match on Thursday, August 21. Smithville will battle a Rattlers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Somerville (Somerville, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 2-1.
The Cougars (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Columbus (Columbus, TX). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Columbus achieved victory over Brenham (Brenham, TX), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
