With the win, Canyon advances its record to 3-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Midland Legacy (Midland, TX) to face the Rebels in a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. The Rebels go into the test with a record of 4-6. Midland Legacy lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Wylie (Abilene, TX)

The Bulldogs now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Randall for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 19. Midland will play a Raiders team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Stony Point (Round Rock, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 4-5.
