With the win, Gateway College Preparatory advances its record to 6-3 on the season. The Gators host St. Andrew's (Austin, TX) to face the Highlanders in a non-league test on Friday, August 22. The Highlanders go into the test with a record of 10-1. St. Andrew's won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX)

Next, the Eagles play the Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Cedar Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Rudder (Bryan, TX).
