Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Lanier Voks (San Antonio, TX) and the host Providence Catholic Provets (San Antonio, TX), observed Lanier's volleyball team hold off Providence Catholic by a count of 3-2.

The Voks (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Boerne (Boerne, TX). The Greyhounds go into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Boerne was edged by New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Provets now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holy Cross for a non-league contest on Thursday, August 21. Providence Catholic will meet a Knights team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over St. Anthony (San Antonio, TX). The Knights record now stands at 6-1.
