In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host St. Joseph Catholic Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the New Waverly Bulldogs.

The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Madisonville (Madisonville, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Madisonville gained a win over Teague (Teague, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Fork for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. New Waverly will face a Gators squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over New Caney (New Caney, TX). The Gators record now stands at 9-2.
